What is Micropub?

A Micropub is a small freehouse which listens to its customers, mainly serves cask ales, cider and wine, promotes conversation, shuns all forms of electronic entertainment and dabbles in traditional pub snacks.

Why the Admiral's Arm?

Our theme is nautical, based around Admiral Lord Nelson. Lord Nelson had his arm amputated during the Battle of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.  Hence the name.

Question is which arm is the pub named after?

Who are you and why do you want to open a Micropub?

We are Chris and Rachel Collier, we live on the Island and absolutely love it.  Chris has been here for 45 years and has lived in Queenborough in the past.  Rachel moved to the Island 20 years ago when she met Chris and never left!

We both love Micropubs and spend most of our free time in them, we also love real ale.  Both of us have worked in the pub trade in the past, in fact Chris started his pub career at 13 as a cellar boy in the Ship on Shore.

So we thought as we spend most of time in Micropubs, perhaps we should have our own.
